The cross sections are then glued together. They are fused with the help of laser. This then gives the final shape to the object.

Multiple tests can be performed to change and perfect designs and that too at low costs. Every prototype can be completed within hours or days instead of weeks which would be the time taken by other traditional modeling methods. The manufacturing method of stereolithography helps in 3D printing by building layers on layers. This is done with the help of lasers and liquid resin. It is a type of additive manufacturing process. These machines are mostly used along with rapid prototyping projects.
